V-Nasty Contemplates Stopping N-Word Usage

The White Girl Mob member is having a change of heart.

V-Nasty, BFF to Kreayshawn and second most high profile member of the Oakland rapper's White Girl Mob crew, has probably been best known up until this point for her frequent, casual use of the N-word. The Cali girl has been seen in multiple online videos, including a recent one in which she, Kreayshawn and others were caught dissing Rick Ross, dropping the controversial term with abandon. Though she has previously defended her use of the word as the natural result of her upbringing in low-rent Oakland, a wave of backlash has V-Nasty reconsidering that stance.
"I'm even thinking about giving up [saying the n-word]," she said in an interview with Persona Magazine. "I'm not faking [when I say it] ... It's diversity ... It's crazy, because I'll be with my partners doing my everyday thing, but now, everybody's making it known, like, 'Oh, she said the n-word and she's white.' Now, I'm seeing that it's different other places."
Previously, Kreayshawn and others have tried to explain V's controversial habit by pointing out that, in her neighborhood, people of all races use the word in conversation as a meaningless catchall phrase. In the interview, Nasty says her usage of the N-word should not be taken as evidence of prejudice.
"I wasn't raised off no colors or nothing, bruh ... I ain't racist," she says.
